Regional Hot Shot Driver
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Regional Hot Shot Driver to join our logistics team. As a Hot Shot Driver, you will be responsible for transporting urgent, high-priority cargo to various locations within your assigned region. Your role is critical in ensuring timely and safe deliveries while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Key Responsibilities:
Transport High-Priority Cargo:
Safely and efficiently transport time-sensitive and critical shipments to destinations within the assigned regional area. Route Planning:
Plan and execute optimal delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals, considering traffic conditions, weather, and road closures. Customer Interaction:
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, addressing any delivery issues, and ensuring satisfaction. Vehicle Maintenance:
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the assigned vehicle to ensure it remains in top working condition. Report any mechanical issues promptly. Documentation:
Accurately complete and maintain all required shipping and delivery documentation, including delivery receipts and logbooks. Compliance:
Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation and logistics, including hours of service and safety standards. Safety:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents or damage to cargo. Qualifications:
Valid CDL:
Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record. Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a hot shot driver or in a similar role, with a proven track record of reliable and timely deliveries. Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of regional geography, traffic patterns, and route planning. Skills:
Excellent driving skills with the ability to handle different types of cargo and vehicles. Strong organizational and time management skills. Communication:
Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, dispatchers, and other team members. Physical Fitness:
Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including loading and unloading cargo.
