About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior QA Engineer for a 6-month contract to support a major initiative: modernizing a legacy frontend architecture by extracting components from a monolithic system and building new test coverage. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building automation frameworks from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Lead testing strategies for complex architectural changes and feature development
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA peers to ensure full test coverage
Write and maintain unit and integration tests for newly extracted frontend components
Build automation frameworks using Playwright (preferred), Cypress, or Webdriver.io
Promote QA best practices and drive process improvements across the team
Analyze test results and provide actionable insights into product quality
Tech Stack & Tools
Languages: JavaScript (required), Python, Ruby (nice-to-have)
Automation Tools: Playwright (preferred), Cypress, Webdriver.io
CI/CD: Jenkins, Buildkite, GitHub Actions
API Testing: Postman
Version Control: Git
Architecture: Service-oriented (SOA) with legacy monolith components

Skills and Requirements
8+ years of QA experience in web and SaaS environments
Strong technical skills in JavaScript, with hands-on experience in unit and integration testing
Proven ability to build automation frameworks from scratch
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and API validation
Comfortable working independently and contributing to strategic QA initiatives
Bonus: Experience with Ruby and performance/load/contract testing null
