Data Scientist role at Jobs via Dice. Client: Robert Half. Location: Las Vegas, NV. Long-term contract. This position requires a deep understanding of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to drive business success through actionable insights and innovative solutions. Responsibilities
Lead complex projects from initial concept through implementation, ensuring measurable business impact. Develop advanced models for profitability, forecasting, and demand optimization using econometrics and machine learning techniques. Design and evaluate A/B and multivariate experiments to assess the effectiveness of business initiatives. Create dashboards, visualizations, and automated reports to communicate insights effectively. Analyze and validate data integrity, addressing issues such as endogeneity, heteroskedasticity, and autocorrelation. Identify and implement optimization strategies to drive incremental profit growth. Provide guidance to team members in data wrangling, model validation, and effective communication of findings. Research and utilize emerging technologies, including machine learning and generative AI, to enhance analytical capabilities. Employ cloud platforms such as Databricks for scalable data processing and deployment. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing econometric and machine learning models with proven business impact (or 2 years with a Master's degree). Proficiency in Python and experience with cloud platforms like Databricks. Strong knowledge of time series forecasting, A/B testing, and supervised/unsupervised machine learning. Familiarity with generative AI tools and libraries such as spaCy or Hugging Face. Expertise in using BI tools like Power BI and Tableau for data visualization. Experience with ETL processes and technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present complex insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
