Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA)
Kern River Transitional Care is seeking a dedicated Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to join our caring team! We are looking for a compassionate and motivated CNA with an active RNA certification to support our residents in maintaining and improving mobility, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with restorative exercises and mobility programs.
- Support transfers, ambulation, range of motion, and positioning.
- Provide assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and bathing.
- Support therapy departments with active/passive ROM as needed.
- Help residents prepare for activities, appointments, and daily meals.
- Assist with toileting, including catheter care and hygiene routines.
- Maintain clean, comfortable clothing and bedding for residents.
- Observe, report, and document changes in condition to nursing or therapy teams.
- Foster a warm, calm, and positive atmosphere in the facility.
Qualifications:
- Required: Valid CNA license in California and RNA Certificate
- Required: Current CPR certification
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of PCC charting software a plus
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, pushing/pulling, stooping, and kneeling
- Must be able to frequently stand and assist residents with mobility
