Class B CDL Driver

within our Orica USA Commercial team. This role involves operating Orica's bulk trucks (Mobile Mixing Units) and installing blasting products at local construction sites, mines, and quarries, while also maintaining the equipment. Expect a balanced workload consisting of 40% driving and 60% physical labor related to the installation of blasting products. Responsibilities include product loading, operating a Class B CDL truck, pulling hoses, and managing equipment in various weather conditions. We prioritize safety, ensuring operations are conducted responsibly at all times. Work Schedule Monday through Friday Local driving (1-3 hours) Early morning starts (roughly 3 AM - 5 AM) 10-12 hour workdays Overtime may be required Up to 10% overnight travel may be necessary Key Responsibilities Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Safely hook up and unhook trailers Drive emulsion tanker and box trucks Handle dangerous goods according to regulations Minimize environmental impact through waste control Report unusual incidents promptly Engage in daily safety briefings and monthly meetings Requirements Minimum one year of experience in driving or materials handling preferred Comprehensive understanding of DOT regulations required Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team Strong attention to detail and math skills for inventory management Capable of prioritizing tasks efficiently Physical Requirements Work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and carry 50 pounds or more Capable of loading products, pulling large hoses, and climbing onto/off the truck Perform shoveling and other physical tasks throughout the day Frequent bending and squatting Your Qualifications Must possess a Class B CDL; Class A is a plus Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred We support obtaining the necessary endorsements High school diploma or equivalent required What We Offer As part of a global company, you will have opportunities for growth in a diverse, collaborative culture.
