About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to serve as the senior physician executive, providing leadership for the quality, timeliness, and efficacy of clinical care delivery across its hospital and affiliated facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the clinical and academic functions, collaborating on research endeavors, and ensuring the maintenance of quality across the inpatient-outpatient continuum. This role involves leading the development of clinical processes, standards for care delivery, and quality improvement programs, as well as actively participating in executive management responsibilities such as strategic planning and budgeting.
Applicants must have an MD with board certification in a pediatric surgical specialty, formal business or management training (MBA preferred), and a minimum of 5 years' medical practice experience. Additionally, the role requires 5 years' of medical informatics experience or academic training in the field, and 5 years' of previous administrative experience in leading complex healthcare organizations. The Chief Medical Officer will also be responsible for assuring that all physicians are fully credentialed, and that educational and teaching activities meet the highest standards of excellence.
