Overview Sr. Associate, Business Program Manager – Santander Bank, N.A.
It is an exciting journey to explore the possibilities with Santander. The role supports the business line in capturing and managing requirements for end-to-end process design, considering technical, operating challenges and solutions related to current and future business needs. The Program Manager will work within the program’s transformational routines to ensure cross-vertical integration and management updates, driving consensus on complex business solutions and translating business and technical requirements into actionable solutions.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison for the workstream, ensuring alignment with program management, other verticals, technology, and development teams. Represent the workstream in program-wide forums, delivering updates on progress, issues and risks. Deliver weekly status reports and prepare executive-level summaries for monthly reviews. Facilitate regular ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Lead large-scale sessions such as requirements review workshops and PI planning meetings. Coordinate with Scrum teams and agile coaches to ensure best practices are followed. Collaborate with Product Owners to identify business needs and translate them into actionable user stories and epics in Jira. Create and maintain the workstream’s Jira instance with proper structure, acceptance criteria, traceability, and workflow integrity. Identify functional gaps and draft new requirements or enhancements for future sprints. Oversee workstream planning, development, testing, and delivery to align with program governance and release timelines. Track progress, flag risks or dependencies, and coordinate timely resolution of issues. Manage scope and deliverables for scheduled releases and ad-hoc requests. Collaborate with QA/testing teams to define and finalize testing scope per release; review and validate test cases against requirements. Support go-live readiness activities with quality and stakeholder sign-off. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Finance or related field – Required. 9+ Years designing and implementing business processes and solutions. 9+ Years experience designing end-to-end processes that scale. 9+ Years experience in process management, process engineering, project management, or risk management. 3+ Years experience in Jira and Confluence – Required. Ability to manage large, complex projects; strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and communicate at all levels; strong collaboration and partnership skills. Ability to see the big picture and prioritize requests to ensure delivery alignment without compromising goals. Experience with business process, technology, systems and tools; MS Access, Word, Excel, SQL; CRM and ERP tools. Experience with business applications integration tools (e.g., Jitterbit). Certifications
Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, or Business Process Management Certification – Preferred. Nice to Have
Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education. What Else You Need to Know The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions, the range is based on a 40-hour work week.
