Overview The McCance Center for Brain Health in the Neurology Department at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is an interdisciplinary research center focused on promoting healthy brain aging and preventing neurodegenerative disease through innovative clinical trials for Alzheimer's Disease therapies, including natural products, drugs, and lifestyle interventions. We are growing to support a single-site trial of a natural product combination and a platform trial to accelerate testing of therapies for early intervention in Alzheimer's disease.

The Clinical Research Project Manager II (PM II) will work closely with Center leadership, site teams, Mass General Brigham collaborators, and external partners to develop, execute, and coordinate clinical studies. The PM II will guide internal teams to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and with high quality, and will oversee the project life cycle from proposal through startup, implementation, and close-out. The PM II will work with Principal Investigators, co-investigators, site personnel, cores, and vendors on clinical trial operations and ensure operational management of trials in accordance with study protocols, contracts, and policies. The role requires strong organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills, intellectual independence, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize issues and prepare materials for internal and external audiences. The PM II will contribute to documents such as study protocols, informed consents, case report forms, monitoring plans, study reports, budgets, scopes of work, timelines, project plans, progress metrics, and electronic data capture (EDC) systems, and will submit documentation to IRB, FDA, and Clinicaltrials.gov. The PM II will ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), applicable FDA regulations, and SOPs. Job Summary Functions independently in a clinical research setting and coordinates a specific clinical research project or multiple studies. Trains staff involved in research administration activities for conducting complex clinical studies. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position based at Assembly Row, Somerville, MA, with occasional travel to Charlestown Navy Yard and other Mass General Brigham sites. Responsibilities
May directly supervise Project Manager I’s and Clinical Research Coordinators assigned to the project. Manage project execution from start to finish, including tracking progress, identifying issues, and mitigating risks. Identify necessary modifications and implement solutions. Ensure project outcomes align with desired impact and results. Guide research studies business practices for all studies conducted. Report study progress at investigators’ meetings. QualificationsEducation Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required. Experience may be in lieu of a degree. Licenses and Credentials None specified. Experience 3-5 years of related research experience required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong analytical skills, judgment, attention to detail, and organizational abilities. Knowledge of clinical research protocols. Effective written and verbal communication at all levels. Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance. Ability to identify problems and develop solutions. Strong database management and computer skills.
