Senior Tax Accountant / CPA- Direct Hire Role We have an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant in Cranston, RI. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Accounting with experience in tax reporting requirements and a CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA) or equivalent certification. Responsibilities of the Senior Tax Accountant / CPA Tax Compliance: Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations. Tax Planning and Advisory: Research and analyze complex tax issues to provide strategic tax planning advice and minimize clients' tax liabilities. Client Management: Manage client engagements from beginning to end, including gathering information, resolving tax-related problems, and making recommendations for improvements. Review and Quality Control: Review tax returns prepared by junior staff, providing feedback and guidance to ensure accuracy and identify tax savings opportunities. Mentorship and Supervision: Supervise, train, and mentor staff and interns on tax projects and firm best practices. Research and Analysis: Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations, perform tax research, and apply findings to client situations. Audit Support: Assist with federal and state tax audits and respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies. Meet with clients for tax planning purposes Provide foreign reporting ie. FBAR and Form 5471 · Requirements of the Senior Tax Accountant / CPA - Direct hire Bachelor’s degree in Accounting · 2-3 years of technical tax experience in public accounting or related field -CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA) or equivalent certification is a must · Strong communication, analytical and organization skills · Working knowledge of corporate tax forms and schedules. Salary range is based on years of experience and degree: $95,000-130,000
