POSITION TITLE: Cook - Part Time LOCATION: Louisville, KY STATUS: Part Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt PROGRAM: Family Emergency Shelter REPORTS TO: Lead Cook INTRODUCTION: Volunteers of America Mid-States (VOA) is a non-profit organization spanning four states that creates positive change in the lives of individuals and communities through a ministry of service. WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE FOR THIS ROLE: A high school diploma or equivalent is needed.Experience in food preparation is necessary, and the ability to follow a menu is a requirement. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Prepare and serve meals. 2. Help on special activities or occasions. 3. Work independently on scheduled meals. 4. Maintain personal hygiene. 5. Help maintain food service standards in compliance with regulations. 6. Adhere to schedule developed by head cook. 7. Follow directions of head cook. 8. Aid in completion of kitchen tasks. 9. Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) duties as assigned by supervision & PQI Committee.
