At Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Bellevue, NE is currently seeking Engineer Software / Principal Engineer Software. The successful candidates will demonstrate a broad skill set balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities achieving sustainable quality products. They will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The selected candidates will participate in the entire software development lifecycle with a concentration in software engineering. The candidates will work closely with other software developers to: Complete work independently and as a part of an Agile team Support team in completing necessary software on schedule Solve complex problems through innovative and creative solutions Collaborate with software designers and/or software engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of software systems Regularly demonstrate progress to customers Basic Qualifications: Engineer Software:

A high school diploma with a minimum of 6 years of software development experience A bachelor's in science degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 2 years of software development experience A master's in science degree in a STEM field Principal Engineer Software:

A high school diploma with a minimum of 9 years of software development experience A bachelor's in science degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 5 years of software development experience A master's in science degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 3 years of software development experience Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with small technical teams Experience with DevSecOps principles and practices Experience working in Agile software development environments Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results Ability to obtain/maintain access to work on-site in Bellevue, NE Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Infrastructure as Code: Container Management Platforms such as RKE2, AWS, OpenShift, etc. Automation technologies such as Ansible, Helm, etc. Virtualization platforms such as VMWare, Proxmox, etc. Experience with DevSecOps: Implementing and maintaining CI/CD software pipelines Automating the securing and hardening software products Enabling operations and maintenance activities with Infrastructure as Code Creating solutions that encourage Dev-Prod Parity Experience with microservices patterns and creating solutions that run in a containerized environment Experience with object-oriented programming, web development frameworks, and full stack application architectures Demonstrated use of configuration management (Git, Bitbucket, Mercurial, Ansible Galaxy) Demonstrated use of collaboration tool suites (Atlassian, GitLab) Current DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance. Primary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
