Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $93,000 to $158,000 annual with additional bonus potential. Position Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and oversight on environmental, occupational health, safety, industrial hygiene, occupational medical, and security issues, aligned with Corporate EHSS and Risk Management. Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, state, and local regulations and internal standards, driving continual improvement towards an incident-free environment. Support safety-related regulatory compliance, updating and implementing company and divisional safety policies/standards. Lead cross-functional teams to address EHS and security issues, advise site leadership on strategies, and implement mitigation plans. Oversee incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified, and trends are analyzed for prevention. Manage site regulatory reporting, monitor metrics, and implement programs to address undesirable trends. Act as the EHS liaison for applicable regulatory agencies and internal functions such as Engineering and Maintenance. Participate in EHS and Risk Management networks and represent the site in developing and implementing consistent practices organization-wide. Support workers compensation loss control programs and ensure injured employees receive timely medical care by accompanying them to Medical Provider Visits. Oversee the plant's safety, EHS audits (internal and external), and program revisions. Other Duties And Responsibilities
Participate in safety orientations for employees, plant hearing conservation program, annual audiometric testing, and Lead Round Table review calls with EHS Leaders. Maintain industrial hygiene monitoring, Lockout-Tagout instructions, and the Plant SDS Program. Log audits, task completions, and injury records using EHS data management software. Coordinate the Plant Safety Committee and participate in divisional safety meetings. Maintain oversight across multiple shifts to ensure visibility and engagement. Travel 10-15% for EHSS conferences and project work at other Winland Foods locations. Updating and maintaining PPE Records. Become First Responder Certified every 2 years.
