About FlightSafety
FlightSafety International is the world leader in professional aviation training and simulation systems. Our solutions are used to train and certify more than 75,000 pilots each year across 135+ commercial and military aircraft. We are dedicated to building the most immersive and realistic flight simulation experiences in the industry.
About the Role
We are seeking a Software Developer with geospatial expertise to join our Visual Systems team. In this role, you will design and maintain software that processes digital assets-such as terrain, imagery, vector data, and 3D models-to support our Modeling team and enhance flight simulation realism. You'll also build technology to store, transfer, convert, and optimize large datasets for aviation, simulation, and geospatial applications.
This position offers the opportunity to work in an agile, multi-disciplinary team covering the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, integration, peer review, documentation, and support.
What You'll Do
Develop and maintain software tools for processing terrain, imagery, vector, and 3D model data.
Improve modeling team workflows by designing efficient, error-reducing processes.
Build scalable systems for geospatial data storage, conversion, transfer, and optimization.
Contribute to development areas such as realistic terrain, high-resolution imagery, procedural content generation, and 2D/3D content processing.
Collaborate across disciplines in an agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
Required Skills
Proficiency in
C++ or C#
Experience in
geospatial development
and/or working with geospatial data formats
Strong knowledge of
data structures, algorithms, and software architecture
Solid foundation in
object-oriented design
Preferred Experience
GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS)
Geospatial standards (WMS, WCS, GeoPackage)
Terrain and imagery processing (satellite, aerial, mapping data, elevation models)
Graphics programming (Unreal, Unity, OpenGL, Direct3D, HLSL, GLSL)
Mathematics for simulation (matrix algebra, geometry, vector math)
Multi-threading and design patterns
MS Visual Studio
Scripting (Python or similar)
Agile/Lean development practices; Jira/Confluence
What We Offer
Competitive pay and a full benefits package (as a Berkshire Hathaway company)
Career development with training and growth opportunities
High engineering retention rates and a collaborative work culture
Equal Opportunity Employer (Veterans/Disabled)
ManpowerGroup is committed to providing equal employment opportunities in a professional, high quality work environment. It is the policy of ManpowerGroup and all of its subsidiaries to recruit, train, promote, transfer, pay and take all employment actions without regard to an employee's race, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, religion, age, disability, protected veteran status, or any other basis protected by applicable law.
