Title: Senior Systems Engineer
Reports to: Regional Director of IT
Location: onsite

What Youll Do
The Senior Systems Engineer will develop and implement technology solutions to support all business processes. This position will be responsible for providing support for Ortho Rhode Island. The Senior Systems Engineers primary focus will be to provide day-to-day support for ORI end users, and to assist the Spire IT team with all technology aspects that exist within the ORI campuses.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Windows administration, including new user setups and managing Active Directory
Provides daily local and remote support to users via phone, email or in person by problem analysis, judgment and decision-making skills to troubleshoot, assist and perform or arrange maintenance for hardware faults
Maintains physical inventory of all computer equipment and software, including service records
Assists other Spire IT members in maintaining and replacing server and networking equipment
Creates and maintains HL7 interfaces and PowerShell scripts
Escalate tickets to the Manager as needed
Provide outstanding communication with the IT team and end-users
Assist with onboarding and off-boarding users
Instruct employees in using equipment, software, and devices
Assists in mentoring, training, and coaching junior technicians
Assist in the implementation of new technologies
Perform administrative duties and document internal procedures
Participates in the IT on-call rotation
Ensures all local systems are backed up nightly
Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, and attending training and/or courses as required by the Regional Director of Information Technology
Travels between practice locations

Who you are:
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge and work experience with network technologies and documentation of systems required
Advanced knowledge of current Microsoft Operating Systems and Office software packages. Network connectivity troubleshooting skills and printer troubleshooting skills. Mobile Operating Systems: iOS, Android, working knowledge of MAC Operating Systems is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft 365 products such as Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory
Strong interpersonal, analytical thinking about network operations, and communication skills required
Ability to work as part of a team is required
Experience with Ethernet, Switching, VLAN, Routing protocols and security required
Solid understanding of Windows servers and DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SFTP, SSH, and LDAP/AD required
VMWare knowledge required
SQL knowledge required
Education And Experience
Associates or Bachelors Degree with a technical focus or equivalent experience
Minimum of 4+ years of progressive IT experience and customer service
A+ Certification preferred
ITIL Foundations is preferred
Industry related certifications are a plus
Jack/patch termination experience
