Responsibilities
Opening for a Program Coordinator in our Supervised Independent Living Program (SILP) in Syracuse. The SILP is designed to support transition-age youth (17-21) in foster care on their journey towards independence. Residents live in a supervised apartment complex where they receive 24 hour support from our staff.
The Program Coordinator ensures the efficient operation of the program, and provides positive role modeling to its individuals receiving services to achieve daily goals and objectives. Complete appropriate fiscal and program records in timely manner. Prepare and maintain all necessary paperwork including payroll and incident reports. Hire, provide orientation, train, supervise, evaluate and coach all residential or program staff. Communicate and collaborate with other service providers and staff.
Qualifications
Must be 21 year's old and have a valid NYS driver's license with 4 points or less. High School Diploma or GED required with 3 years relevant experience. Experience working with individuals with children or in another human service area or in a health care field preferred. Associates or bachelor degree preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Required to successfully complete the OCFS Criminal History Review.
