Position Summary Nitricity is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented R&D Test Engineer to join our Research & Development team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a research setting, strong technical skills in operating specialized equipment, and the ability to analyze data and present precise, concise results. This role involves maintaining and operating key R&D systems, executing experiments, and contributing to the development of innovative technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the subject matter expert in running experiments and ensuring data quality. Process experimental data, run analytical scripts, and compile results into comprehensive technical reports. Collaborate with scientists and engineers to design and execute test plans. Perform routine equipment calibration and preventive maintenance. Ensure safe and compliant laboratory operations. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot R&D equipment, including FTIR, gas distribution systems, custom spectroscopy equipment, and other auxiliary systems. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics). 2–3 years of experience in a research or laboratory setting. Proven hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation and test execution. Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in relevant software/tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar). Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or in a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with spectroscopy techniques and gas analysis systems. Familiarity with experimental design and statistical analysis.
