Tittle: Power BI Specialist
Location: El Segundo, CA(Remote)
Contract role
Pay Rate: $50.95/hr.
Job Description
We are looking for a PowerBI specialist skilled at building custom PowerBI Dashboards. This project will involve migrating a dashboard which currently lives in excel to PowerBI, while making enhancements to optimize usability of the tool. Must have experience building PowerBI dashboards and strong understanding of data visualization principles.
Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, or similar role with a strong portfolio of Power BI projects. Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Desktop, including: Advanced DAX formula writing and optimization. Strong Power Query (M language) skills for complex data transformation. Deep understanding of data modeling principles for Power BI (star schema, snowflake schema). Demonstrable experience in migrating existing reports or dashboards from other platforms (like Excel) to Power BI. Exceptional understanding of data visualization best practices and principles, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively gather requirements from stakeholders and present findings. Ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively as a freelance consultant.
