Posting expires: September 19, 2025 Salary: $63,401.31 - $84,640.75 General Description and Classification Standards Performs a wide variety of analytical and data management work related to assigned payroll operations and management systems. Collect and organize data from systems, surveys interviews, or other sources and develop summaries and observations. Performs analyses of operational processes, efficiency, and effectiveness, of organization strategic goals and financial plans and budgets. May maintain ongoing operational reporting processes and produce periodic organizational reports. Supervision Received Works under very general supervision, independently or as a team member in carrying out assignments Essential Duties & Responsibilities Performs specialized analyses of departmental payroll operations, processes, productivity and effectiveness. Maintains ongoing reporting and analysis of systems to provide continuing indicators of department performance and trend analyses. Develop specialized reports of department or external trends, developments, issues, etc. for use in strategic planning, goal setting, budget development, etc. Participates as a member of department and cross-organization teams to improve processes and productivity. Plans and carries out special research or analysis projects as needed. Prepare reports and presentations of findings and recommendations. Presents to senior department leadership. Decision Making Determines priorities, work methods, and work timeline in assignments. Uses judgment and discretion in developing recommendations. Leadership Provided No formal leadership responsibility. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of organizational, financial, and operational analysis. Skilled in both oral and written communication with department personnel, outside officials, professionals and the general public. Ability to prepare and deliver logical summaries and conclusions related to organizational, planning, budgeting, and other advice. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in management, business, finance, public administration or a related field 4-5 years of progressively responsible professional supervisory or analytical experience. Licensures and Certifications: None required. Work Schedule: This position follows the City’s hybrid work schedule policy as assigned by the Department of Human Resources Commissioner and requires in-person work at City worksites/facilities at least four (4) days per week, with the option to work remotely one (1) day per week, based on eligibility, departmental needs, and supervisor approval. The hybrid work schedule is subject to change at any time to five (5) days in-person work.
