Strategic Leadership & UX Vision:
Support design leadership to develop our UX strategy and set the product development vision, align with business goals and user needs, advocate user-centered design, and influence product direction and prioritization. Information Architecture & Service Design Thinking:
Optimize navigation and user journeys by organizing content and establishing logical structures; approach design holistically across mediums and adapt to user interactions. AI Integration & Design Systems:
Advocate for Generative AI in design processes to drive innovation, usability, and accessibility; guide and manage dynamic design systems and move toward AI-driven parameter setting for consistency. End-to-End Design & Execution:
Lead the design process from concept to completion, including research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and iteration; develop detailed wireframes and prototypes for high-quality implementation. Project Management & Collaboration:
Manage commitments and deadlines across multiple projects; collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. User Research & Data-Driven Design:
Conduct and oversee user research to uncover insights and validate decisions; utilize data analytics to inform design choices and measure UX impact; develop personas and journey maps. Process Improvement & Innovation:
Define and refine design processes to enhance efficiency and support business goals, focusing on AI-driven methodologies and staying current with industry trends. Mentorship & Team Development:
Mentor designers, foster continuous learning, contribute to team processes, and assist with recruitment and talent development. Join us in driving the future of UX design at UKG across modernized, transformative user experiences in our product suite. About you
Required Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in UX design or related field with a strong portfolio showing leadership and successful design projects; at least 3 years in a leadership/principal role and 5+ years designing UI for web and mobile with responsive/adaptive design. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Information Sciences, Psychology, or related field. Mastery of design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, Adobe XD). Strong understanding of user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, content strategy, and usability principles. Experience with rapid design iteration and understanding of human behavior beyond standard design patterns. Ability to translate brand identity into visually appealing digital products; knowledge of AI-assisted design processes. Exceptional communication, presentation, storytelling, analytical, and problem-solving skills; leadership and mentorship capabilities; ability to navigate ambiguity and influence product direction. Portfolio submission is required as part of the application. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence). Work Model We work in a collaborative hybrid model. 3 days per week onsite in one of the city’s UKG offices is required.
