Title: Senior/Lead Software Engineer Location: Brookhaven, GA on site 4 days per week. Compensation: $140K to $155K direct hire role. No contract or third party candidates please. Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US Job Description: The Sr. Application developer will work on developing new applications and maintaining legacy applications. New applications are built using the latest .NET Core technologies that will utilize Azure and event hub technologies. They will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, and deploying high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices. The Sr. Application Developer will produce scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions that leverage the power of the cloud and the latest .NET technologies. They will have the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects that involve various Azure Services and event hub technologies such as Event Grid, Event Hubs, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, and other modern technologies. The Sr. Application Developer reports directly to the Director of Application Development. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain cloud-based applications using .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Entity Framework, Angular, and other Azure technologies. Have a working knowledge of Java and Spring Framework Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure microservices and event-driven architectures using Azure Event Grid, Event Hubs, and Azure Functions or Kafka. Collaborate with other developers, testers, architects, and business analysts to deliver software solutions that meet customer needs and expectations. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that follows SOLID principles and coding standards. Perform unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and performance tuning to ensure quality and performance of the software. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments. Research and evaluate new technologies and frameworks to improve the software development process and enhance the user experience. Skillset / Experience: 7+ years of experience in developing web applications using .NET technologies. Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and security best practices. Understanding and experience in distributed applications development. Knowing methods of performance analysis and optimization. Proficient in .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL Server, and Visual Studio. Java Enterprise Edition Spring framework (IoC, Transactions, Webservices) Experience in microservices and event-driven architecture using RESTful APIs and messaging protocols. Experience in Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, Azure Functions, Azure Monitor, and Azure Key Vault. Experience in using Git or other version control systems. Experience in using agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in DB2, Snowflake, and Azure cloud technologies. Understanding of insurance-specific reporting categories and the capability to translate them into actionable data strategies. Project management skills, having previously led transformative tech projects. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to drive innovation while ensuring stability, security, and compliance Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
