Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to support landside design and project management for aviation-related civil engineering projects. This role offers opportunities to grow within a high-performing team and contribute to impactful infrastructure projects that support airports and aviation clients nationwide. You will be involved in all stages of civil site design, from preparing construction documents to coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in aviation or transportation-related civil engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage technical tasks independently. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed construction documents including plans, specifications, and cost estimates Lead or coordinate project meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams Interpret geotechnical, topographic, and survey data for project planning Perform civil design calculations and support design development Oversee quality assurance standards and departmental documentation procedures Manage subconsultants and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams Provide status updates and ensure project milestones are met Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (accredited program) Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent 4–8 years of experience in civil site design Strong understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer / MicroStation Experience with construction cost estimation and technical specification writing Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Task management experience and ability to prioritize in a dynamic work environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in a supervisory role or leading design tasks Roadway/highway design background is a plus Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars, Engineering Briefs, and Orders Exposure to DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) Working knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, and overall project management tools Additional Information This is an office-based role with occasional travel to project or client sites Comfortable working in a collaborative environment across cross-functional teams Work is primarily sedentary with standard office conditions
