About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Affiliate Engagement and Network Marketing. This leadership role is pivotal in communicating with and guiding network television affiliates to enhance local market awareness, audiences, ratings, and ad sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and prioritizing affiliate promotion objectives, as well as partnering with internal and local TV affiliate teams to implement strategies that drive both local and national goals. Key duties include overseeing all affiliate promotion planning, media buying, and supporting local affiliates as needed. The role also involves working closely with programming, affiliate relations, and creative services to develop and deliver promotional assets, and maintaining strong communication strategies to engage and support affiliates.
Applicants must have a professional background in marketing, affiliate relations, and/or media buying within the television or cable industry. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in media strategy, negotiation, and buying, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills. A collaborative and adaptive approach is essential, as is the ability to work full-time in the corporate office. The Vice President will be a high-level conduit to local station partners, and as such, must be adept at fostering professional relationships and be familiar with strategic and creative marketing for linear TV audience development and retention. The position demands a leader who can effectively manage a team, report on various plans and priorities, and share results and feedback with both internal and external stakeholders.
