Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts to software development for the target application. Work with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and to meet operational performance requirements and overall system design. Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle: requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment. Develop software test procedures, programs, and related documentation. Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experiments, and evaluate results. Participate in peer reviews, identify, track, and repair defects. Utilize a variety of software languages (C++, C, C#, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, Ajax, Qt) on Windows, Linux, mobile platforms, and embedded real-time operating systems (VxWorks, Linux, QNX, Integrity, Windows CE, and others). Apply DSP, communication systems, and software engineering concepts in software development for the target application. Understand time-domain vs frequency-domain analysis, filter structures, and modulation/coding algorithms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop interfaces between hardware and software and to define design requirements. Support software and firmware development life cycle in an agile environment for embedded real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment. Develop software test procedures, programs, and documentation. Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experiments, and evaluate results.
