Job Title: Windows Packager / Automation System Engineer
Location: Onsite in Raleigh, NC
Contract
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced engineer to develop and automate Windows software packaging and system management solutions. You will create scripts to monitor and fix system issues, support Windows 10 and Office 365 environments, and collaborate with teams to maintain and improve IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain PowerShell and VBScript scripts for software packaging and automation. Monitor system health and automatically remediate issues (service failures, disk space, CPU load, event logs). Install, test, and implement complex software and hardware changes. Use endpoint management tools (Tanium, MECM, Ivanti, Active Directory) to manage systems. Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Lead technical meetings and prepare presentations for stakeholders. Document solutions, maintain trouble tickets, and provide regular status reports. Provide training and support to junior team members. Follow change management and quality assurance processes. Support system deployments ensuring minimal downtime. Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service. Required Skills & Experience:
8-12 years of relevant IT experience. Strong PowerShell scripting skills (primary). Experience with Windows 10 SAC or newer and Office 365 apps. Familiarity with endpoint management and system monitoring tools. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Preferred:
Experience with VBScript. Previous work in a Service Center environment. Leadership experience in technical projects.
