The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst works as part of the BI team and is responsible for supporting the agency in collecting meaningful data, providing trusted information, and enabling customers to make data driven decisions. The BI analyst communicates and collaborates with stakeholders, develops technical solutions, leverages Power BI, formats and presents reports, creates documentation, and trains end-users on running reports. This position promotes integrated care and trauma-informed, person-first approaches, and helps create a work environment of inclusion, safety, and acceptance.

Essential Duties

Act as a key liaison between clinical, operational, and administrative staff; IT, and end data users to translate data requests and reporting needs into functional solutions

Assist in defining Epic data, and problem solve to identify needed data solutions to achieve desired product

Extract, report, and analyze data housed within Epic

Identify reports in Epic to meet the needs of end data users. Test and maintain reports in collaboration with EHR, IT, and end-users to ensure data accuracy and current relevance

Report using Epic tools including Reporting Workbench, Slicer Dicer, Business Objects/Crystal Reports, Clarity, and Signal

Provide end users with clear, comprehensive reports that are error-free and include basic interpretation and actionable insights

Provide ongoing training to end users (medical/clinical staff, administrative staff, leadership) to support them in using Epic for reporting needs

Create dashboards and support staff in utilizing them; ensure ongoing accuracy of dashboards through regular maintenance and data auditing

Help create tools, trainings, and documentation to support organizational reporting and effective use of electronic data systems

Support data integrity by investigating data reliability issues and participating in regular auditing

Conduct workflow analysis to ensure reporting solutions align with clinical and operational processes

Collaborate with OCHIN to address problems requiring escalation or potential custom solutions

Perform other duties as assigned

Regulatory & Compliance

Comply with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures under which the program and company operate

Assist in crisis situations as appropriate

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation to ensure compliance with agency policies, local/state/federal regulations, and billing requirements

Understand safety regulations and evacuation procedures; participate in safety drills in line with program policies

Complete assigned employee training in compliance with program and company requirements

Provide guidance, support, and training to staff in alignment with company mission and values

Participate in all scheduled staff meetings and departmental/company meetings

Qualifications Education

Required High school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in information systems, information management, public health, business administration, or relevant experience with focus on reporting and data interpretation. Epic Clarity/Caboodle Certifications; Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate Certification

Experience

Required 3+ years of current experience with Epic applications, reporting out of Epic, and/or the Epic Clarity environment 2+ years working directly with stakeholders to help them understand and interpret data.

Preferred Experience working with healthcare data (clinical or operational practice management). Experience using SSRS, Tableau, or other BI tools.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Advanced Excel skills to organize data, create dynamic visuals, and present data clearly

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to create technical documentation through reports and data/report models

Time management and capacity for independent self-motivation

Ability to adapt and learn from new information

Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent collaboration abilities

Other

Ability to travel to other locations

Starting Salary Range: $64,394.27 – $96,705.18
