Join the GEA Group's Liquid & Powder Technologies (LPT) division as a Lead Senior Project Manager, where you will take the reins on complex beverage processing projects from the initial quotation to commissioning and handover. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring project success through expert management of scope, budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across global GEA entities to deliver high-quality processing solutions. Key Responsibilities: Oversee large-scale projects (typically exceeding $5M), ensuring adherence to GEA Project Management Guidelines set forth in the PPP. Lead the execution of projects from quotation to commissioning, engaging across various phases and managing cross-cultural dynamics. Take responsibility for financial outcomes, maintaining a detailed project budget and invoicing plan to secure optimal results for GEA. Coordinate project organization activities, providing strong direction and motivation to project teams. Foster a culture of ownership among team members to meet project objectives effectively. Plan and monitor project schedules and work breakdown structures to ensure compliance with margin goals. Facilitate phase gate reviews and progress reporting to stakeholders, including steering committees and customers. Ensure alignment with GEAs standard practices and exceed customer expectations whenever possible. Deliver projects within scope, cost, quality, and schedule to meet company standards. Sustain customer engagement and satisfaction throughout project execution. Supervise site management alongside the site manager, ensuring health and safety protocols are adhered to during operations. Manage claims and change orders efficiently. Conduct risk management to minimize potential project risks. Encourage lessons learned discussions to enhance project performance and outcomes. Develop procurement strategies to align fabrication and component availability with project timelines. Maintain a resource plan, and communicate personnel needs to relevant managers. Ensure compliance with documentation standards as per GEA's requirements. Lead a diverse team of project engineers without direct reporting responsibilities, establishing clear direction and fostering a positive team environment. Your Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing large technical projects. Preferred certification in PMI or equivalent project management credentials. Experience in chemical, dairy, food, or beverage projects is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies and business acumen. Proficient in legal and contractual matters, with experience in negotiation and dispute resolution. Proven track record of delivering large projects with excellent results, timely execution, high customer satisfaction, and quality. Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on influencing and motivating teams. Ability to strategically assess risks and opportunities to maximize business outcomes. Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive in addressing complex issues. Commitment to high standards of performance and team improvement. Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of managing and guiding large teams effectively. Fluent in English, both written and verbal; additional languages are a plus. The typical base pay range for this position is expected to be between $90,000 - $130,000 per year, reflecting various factors such as skills, experience, and location.
