Lead Software Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to support products and programs that enhance credit decision services and analytics pipelines through data-driven strategies. This role includes architecting data capabilities and managing the full lifecycle of data operations, governance, modeling, and analytics. The engineer will collaborate with data experts across domains, balancing on-premise and cloud strategies while mentoring developers and guiding sprint activities. A cloud-first approach is emphasized, along with legacy data transformation and adherence to standards across all projects. What You Will Do At Sogeti:

+ Define and enforce design guidelines, ideally through automation. + Build models and platforms using AWS and open-source tools. + Deploy and migrate workflows across environments. + Optimize and integrate decisioning platforms with other systems. + Collaborate with cross-functional tech SMEs to design scalable solutions. + Lead development cycles and mentor developers to meet requirements. + Drive testing strategies for earlier and more frequent validation. What You Will Bring:

+ 7+ years of software engineering experience. + Direct hands-on experience with one or more programming languages, such as Python, TypeScript, Scala, SQL. + 5+ years of hands-on cloud computing experience in AWS. Deep functional expertise with EKS, Aurora, MSK, DBT, Airflow, and Flink is a strong plus. + Strong RDBMS skills (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora). + Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code. + Experience with API and integration frameworks and patterns (e.g., GraphQL, gRPC, Kafka). + Familiarity with agile methods, TDD, and collaborative engineering. + Passion for clean code, mentoring, and continuous improvement. + Experience mentoring junior developers. + Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $115,000 - $160,000. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission.
