DATA GOVERNANCE ANALYST SENIOR

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Data Governance Senior Analyst works within the Data Governance function to execute successful enterprise-wide data governance across business areas. This involves implementing data standards, procedures, oversight, and collaborating with business data stewards, owners, custodians, and IT teams.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  1. Execute data governance capabilities and manage operations as outlined in the data strategy.
  2. Coordinate with data stewards to create data controls, define measurements, and manage dashboards.
  3. Maintain enterprise data policies and measure compliance.
  4. Document roles and responsibilities, and educate stakeholders.
  5. Communicate with data stewards for issue remediation.
  6. Collaborate to ensure consistent data definitions, sources, and calculations.
  7. Prioritize and resolve sourcing, rules, aggregation, and distribution issues.
  8. Maintain a business glossary with data definitions and quality rules.
  9. Monitor and measure data governance adoption and success.
  10. Manage reports and associated metadata.
  11. Document activities, logs, issues, and resolutions.
  12. Serve as liaison between business, functional areas, and IT.
  13. Produce recurring data governance dashboards.
  14. Engage data owners and stewards in critical data management.
  15. Manage documentation and remediation of data issues.
  16. Perform other related duties as assigned.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Required Qualifications*

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data governance operations.
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of consultancy and facilitation skills.

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Business Administration; Master’s preferred.
  • Prefer 3 years banking experience, especially in regulatory reporting or credit.
  • Knowledge of data sourcing, integration, warehouse, ETL, and architecture.
  • Understanding of FR Y-14M and FR Y-14Q CCAR reporting is preferred.
  • Experience with CCAR reporting and credit risk analytics is a plus.
  • Collaborative experience with reporting, operations, and tech teams.
  • Operational awareness and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Consulting experience with senior management.
  • Deep knowledge of Data Governance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Compensation: Starting at $92,114 - $156,880/year, with potential bonuses/commissions.
