What You'll Get to Do:

Work directly with systems, software, hardware engineers and project IPT leads / architects from within the Program and the Government

Collaborate with developers, Product Owners and Product Owner Proxies to understand requirements and design test cases

Work with development teams and Quality functions to improve software quality

Ensure test coverage for new features and regression testing

Create and maintain test documentation including test plans and test cases

Construct test scenarios, test cases, and detailed procedures and verifications, connecting these with requirements and driving more testable code with a focus on automation and metric collection

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for various software applications

Test management

Research, design, and build automation to streamline various testing needs

APIs

General support frameworks like Robot, Karate, Citris, Playwright, Cucumber

Competency in OO languages (Python, Java, C++)

GUI-focused automation

Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning and daily standups

Refine and enhance existing test cases and applications to best meet requirement verification and improve operational performance

Provide training, mentoring, and support to other team members on test automation tools and practices

More About this Role:

Work on various programs dedicated to supporting the war fighter.

Contribute to and improve engineering processes

Develop and maintain test documentation to meet customer contract requirements

Understand the software life-cycle management and tools

Travel onsite to periodically test operational systems and updates

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

Experience:

Minimum 8+ years of relevant work experience in software development

Experience building automation and other test tools

Experience with API testing concepts and associated technologies like REST

Experience writing bash, python, or other scripting languages

Experience deploying and testing container images

Experience managing and testing Kubernetes clusters

Dedication to Test Engineering methods and techniques

Use and experience of Linux debugging and diagnostic tools

Ability to acquire TS/ SCI

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Experience in UI automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress)

Demonstrable experience with source control (git)

Understanding of distributed systems and networking

Knowledge of compiled languages

Familiar with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Bamboo or similar)

Understanding of Linux security and auditing

Basic competency with relational databases (mysql, postres)

Active TS/SCI Clearance

: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$103,800 - $218,100
