Warehouse Specialist

Bowhead is seeking a full-time Warehouse Specialist to join our team in support of the Supply Services Division of Fort Jackson, SC. The Clothing Initial Issue Point (CIIP) Warehouse Specialist performs warehouse duties within the CIIP in accordance with Army policies, procedures, directives, and regulations. Essential functions will include: Maintains designated stock levels at issue line locations, replenishing clothing items as needed to ensure continuous availability. Monitors stock levels at issue line locations and requests additional clothing items as needed to maintain required on-hand quantities. Receives, sorts, stores, and processes the turn-in of clothing items and materials. Conducts periodic inventories of clothing items and materials to maintain accurate records. Counts and inspects incoming clothing items to verify receipt against shipping documents. Stores and organizes inventory by size, type, or style for efficient retrieval. Wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing duties. Safely using pallet jacks and other machinery to move and store goods. Adheres to all organizational safety policies and procedures. Uses proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment to prevent injury. Maintains a clean, hazard-free work environment. Reports unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or incidents promptly to a supervisor. Qualifications: Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. A High School Diploma or GED is required at a minimum. Knowledge of standard warehouse loading, unloading, and storage techniques. Ability to perform accurate counts, inspections, and quality checks of incoming and outgoing stock. Skilled in organizing and maintaining inventory for efficient retrieval. Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. Physical Demands: Capable of performing duties that require standing, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 65 lb. Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Uses arms, hands, and fingers to handle, position, and move materials. May require climbing ladders or step stools to access stored items. Ability to perform repetitive motions and sustain physical activity for extended periods. Security Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust Level (NACI).
