Overview
Senior Accountant
System One is partnering with a manufacturing client seeking a Senior Accountant to support revenue recognition under ASC 606, month-end close activities, and other accounting projects. This role will prepare accruals, journal entries, and account analyses while ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC, and SOX standards. The position may also participate in periodic inventory counts at warehouse locations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze revenue-related transactions and ensure proper recognition under ASC 606.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Monitor variances and identify potential inefficiencies or errors in financial statements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate information.
- Support quarterly inventory counts and other ad-hoc projects.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, SEC, and SOX requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- 5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting and/or manufacturing experience a plus).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
