Leidos is hiring a Quality Inspector to join our growing team in Egg Harbor, NJ! The selected candidate will be conducting quality oversights related to inspections, processing, drawing reviews and configuration controls, manufacturing and testing. The successful candidate will perform inspections, oversee testing activities and communicate/coordinate with internal and external customers. The candidate's comprehension of the Mid Atlantic Depot's quality standards is essential to ensure delivering quality products that meet our customer's high standards.

This position will be supporting our Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM) contract. TFDM is a hardware and software development contract to provide our nation's air traffic controllers with enhanced tools and capabilities across the national airspace system (NAS).

While this position will be located in Egg Harbor, NJ, there is an extensive training period in Chesapeake, VA involved with this position. Please read below for more information.

Training period: The TFDM program is opening a duplicate facility in the Egg Harbor, NJ area mimicking our current production and test facility located in Chesapeake, VA. For the first 60-90 days of employment, the selected candidate will be required to travel to and from the Chesapeake, VA area for on-the-job training (OJT). All travel expenses associated with the travel will be reimbursed. The trainee will be expected to stay in the Chesapeake area for 2-week periods with travel to/from home in between. This includes 1 weekend stay per 2-week event.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform inspections of sub-assemblies and rack builds to prints

Inspection of detailed machined components to drawing specification

Conduct quality oversight of Production Acceptance Testing (PAT)

Confirming documentation is complete and accurate

Ensure products meets requirements and customer's expectations.

Perform Configuration Management verifications

Verification of kitted materials being shipped

Ensure Quality Management System and procedures are followed

Supports facility's audit program

Communicate with Leidos support teams and external customers (FAA), as necessary

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of prior relevant experience.

Experience with manufacturing of cables, sub-assemblies and rack builds

Understanding of detailed mechanical drawings

Knowledge of configuration management and document control

Experience with Production Acceptance Testing and process

Understanding of calibration and calibration systems protocols

Ability to review test results and supporting documentation for conformance

Capability to follow quality processes and procedure

Experience with Microsoft Office

Ability to communication and interact with internal and external customers

Good oral, written and documentation skills.

Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance in the future should business needs require

Ability to travel and work in Chesapeake, VA for the first 3 months

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a testing environment

Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems/Auditing Experience

Pay Range:

Pay Range $39,650.00 - $71,675.00
