Arizona Virtual Academy Special Education Case Manager

Special Education Case Manager is a state certified teacher responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. The Case Manager must provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students individual needs as defined by each students Individualized Education Program (IEP). The Case Manager works with students and parents to advance learning and is responsible for the compliance documents required in serving students with special needs. Required Certificates and Licenses:

Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification Required AND Fingerprint Clearance Card. Residency Requirements:

The mission of Arizona Virtual Academy (AZVA) is to provide an exemplary individualized and engaging educational experience by incorporating school and community/family partnerships with a rigorous curriculum and a data-driven, student-centered instructional model. Student success is measured by valid assessment data, parent and student satisfaction, and continued institutional growth. This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week, is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workdays, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school. Essential Functions (Responsibilities)

Ensure all special education and related services are provided as determined by the IEP team. Communicate with parents and related service staff to ensure that students with special needs receive appropriate therapies. Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and other state-specific required special education documentation. Facilitate and lead collaborative special education meetings such as annual IEP meetings. Use provided resources to ensure accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities (e.g., assistive technology, supplemental curricula, accessible text). Make modifications and accommodations to Stride K12 lessons and assessments as specified by the IEP. Ensure inclusion and success of students in the general education classroom. Collect data and work samples to monitor progress toward IEP goals and objectives. Document all contact with parents and interventions with students. Analyze student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment as needed. Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students. Personalize learning for all students and maintain positive rapport with families; communicate regularly with students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner. Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues, and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom environment in line with academy policies and procedures. Ability to travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school. Qualifications

Bachelors degree Active State Special Education teaching license Ability to clear required background check Other Required Qualifications

Ability to interpret and present numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data to drive instructional decisions Receptive to regular coaching from administrators Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word; PowerPoint Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms Strong written and verbal communication skills Desired Qualifications

Experience with the proposed age group Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology Experience teaching online (virtual) and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment Experience with online learning platforms Compensation & Benefits

Stride, Inc. considers a persons education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the positions work location, travel, and market conditions, when determining salary. Salaries will differ based on factors including location and level of contribution. The typical salary range is estimated to be within the posted range, with eligibility for a bonus in some cases. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees, including health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off. Exempt (salary): Estimated range $49,100 - $52,000. Salary can vary by location, experience, education, and local market conditions. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range. Work Environment
