Job Details

• Full-time, onsite position

• Public school setting

• Schedule: Monday through Friday

• Caseload and grade level will be discussed during the interview

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 Endorsement (required)

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Special Education

• Experience in school or pediatric settings preferred

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (sponsorship not available)

• New graduates with LBS1 licensure encouraged to apply

Special Education Teacher Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized instruction aligned with student IEPs

• Modify curriculum and support students with academic and behavioral needs

• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families

• Maintain compliance with IDEA and Illinois state guidelines

• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to team-based student planning

• Maintain documentation and monitor student progress
