Position Overview:
Performs clinical and administrative tasks under the supervision of medical staff. Manages client flow, performs vital signs, clerical support, and office management.
Job Duties:
1. Provides direct client care under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor and consults with other health team members as required.
2. Measure and record clients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and oxygen saturation, height and weight.
3. Collect and prepare specimens, such as urine, for lab testing.
4. Communicates appropriately and clearly to co-workers, physicians, and clients. Maintains a good working relationship with all employees in the office.
5. Performs all aspects of client care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
6. Treats clients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of clients and family.
7. Return medical/nursing phone calls. Answers telephone calls in a professional manner, directs calls appropriately, and refers client problems to office nurse or physician.
8. Input and maintain current client medication lists in the EHR.
9. Report medication changes to treatment team in accordance with program policy.
10. Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function in stressful situations. Response to clients is appropriate in an emergency or physically stressful situations.
11. Must have a Montana valid driver's license, personal vehicle and current vehicle insurance.
12. Participate in in-service trainings & attend required meetings as directed by immediate Supervisor or Director
13. Performs other duties as assigned within the certified nurse assistant's scope of practice and as assigned by leadership.
Administrative Responsibilities:
1. Accurately complete personal daily timesheets and clinical documentation and submit to the nursing supervisor in accordance with program policy.
2. Notify appropriate personnel of client complaints.
3. Meet current documentation standards and within company policy.
4. Maintain a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for clients and families in accordance with office standards.
5. Coordinate with drug representatives and maintain sample stock as requested by RN.
6. Ensure adequate stock of supplies. Assist in cost containment through appropriate ordering and conserving of supplies and equipment.
7. Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure, to meet deadlines, to be accurate and to handle constantly changing situations.
Minimum Requirements:
Successfully completed an approved C.N.A. course and examination. Provide client care as assigned by the Registered Nurse. Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure, to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict. Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all MRWH organization policies and procedures. Excellent computer skills such as Excel, Teams, MS Outlook, and Word. Medical Terminology, keyboarding skills, basic office skills and basic patient care.
Education/License/Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent, required
Current MT CNA certification in the state of Montana.
BLS certificate
Wage = $17.00 + DOE
