This role will drive layout optimization, waste elimination, and ergonomic improvements across our production floor, warehouse, and service areas. Additionally, this role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn challenges into opportunities, applying lean methods to boost safety, quality, and throughput. You'll also support layout and process design at other Bracco sites. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Analyze current workflows using tools such as spaghetti diagrams, time-studies, and value-stream maps Propose and implement 5S systems, standardized work, and visual management Model and optimize factory, warehouse, and service area layouts using CAD or simulation software Lead Kaizen events to eliminate non-value-added activities and reduce lead times Evaluate and improve ergonomic factors-workstation design, material handling, and lift assists-to minimize injury risk Partner with Quality and Regulatory Affairs to ensure changes comply with ISO 13485 and FDA CFR 820 Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on cost savings, safety metrics, and efficiency gains Provide training and documentation for new workflows, standard operating procedures, and best-practice guidelines Support expansion or relocation projects at our other manufacturing sites Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): Minimum Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related Engineering discipline 0-2 years of experience in a production environment, preferably medical devices or electronics assembly Hands-on knowledge of lean/continuous-improvement tools: 5S, Kaizen, spaghetti diagrams, SMED Proficiency with layout and workflow modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Visio, Arena) Strong analytical mindset with experience in time-study methods and KPI tracking Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment Preferred: Internship or co-op experience leading process-improvement projects Familiarity with ergonomic assessment tools (e.g., REBA, RULA) Exposure to regulatory environments (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820) Basic project-management skills, including Gantt-chart creation and budget tracking Lean certifications (e.g., Lean Green Belt, Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt) Compensation & Total Rewards: Estimated Starting Salary Range: $77,000 - 87,000/year Total Rewards: Paid Time Off, Company Holidays & Paid Family Leave Beyond competitive compensation, we offer options to help you plan for a financially secure future, including an annual incentive plan and 401k savings plan contributions Comprehensive benefits to help protect you along the way, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, employer HSA contributions, employee assistance program, short-term disability, etc. Structured on-the-job learning, workshops, seminars, and tuition reimbursement program Flexibility in your schedule, wherever possible Bracco Medical Technologies is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
