The Middle School Athletic Director will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Middle School Athletics program.

The Middle School Athletic Director at Latin School of Chicago leads and promotes overall success of interscholastic athletics programs in the Middle School. Romans Athletics programs strive to develop confident, enthusiastic and disciplined athletes who reach their full physical potential while learning the value of teamwork, ethical behavior, and fostering a lifelong love of sports and fitness.

Latin participation in sports, Middle School: There is currently a no-cut policy in the Middle School Latin is a part of the Independent School League Responsibilities:

Recruit, interviews, hires, supervises and evaluates new MS coaches Supervise, mentor, support and evaluates MS coaches Arrange practices, competitions, and officials for competitions in MS Schedule and facilitate game and practice schedules for MS program Collaborate with Athletics team on facility scheduling Collaborate with the Athletics team on the rotation and distribution of uniforms. Contributes to MS game day oversight. Ensures proactive communication between team/parents/coaches MS AD will use Arbiter to pay for officials for all MS games Partner with the Middle School Division Director with regard to MS athletics programming Supports all special events (signing day, Homecoming, Big games, Spring-Field Frenzy, etc.) Evening and weekend work is required Organize and facilitate Hall of Fame Celebrations Inputs and manages Magnus for coach access Support department as needed in other areas Qualifications

Master's degree in Athletic Administration, Health, Fitness, Education or similar is preferred. Bachelor's degree required. Experience in interscholastic athletic leadership position(s), ideally including independent school experience A lifelong sports enthusiast. Brings a passion for athletics and the positive effects they bring to the student and school experience Demonstrated experience at creating, managing, and maintaining finances and budget for an athletics department Familiarity with the rules and regulations of conferences and other governing bodies and professional organizations Solid interpersonal, organizational, leadership, problem-solving and communication Prior teaching and/or coaching experience preferred
