The Human Resources Manager will ensure that all SERVPRO employees are supported in fulfilling their company obligations and career goals. The HR Manager will be a member of the senior leadership team and is expected to contribute to all aspects of the business by providing strategic HR management. This role will serve as the primary subject matter expert in all employee lifecycle matters and will be responsible for recruiting functions and new hire onboarding across all office locations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliant employment files and ensure record accuracy.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Identify HR trends impacting organizational objectives and operational goals.
  • Interpret laws and policies, advising management and employees accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate commission spreadsheets and calculations.
  • Oversee W-2 processing, reconciliation, and year-end procedures.
  • Address employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, and HR topics.
  • Support senior leadership and franchise employees with HR administrative tasks.
  • Ensure proper onboarding documentation completion and filing.
  • Lead comprehensive recruiting efforts, including participation in career fairs.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance, including coaching and disciplinary actions.
  • Participate in 90-day and annual reviews with franchise employees.
  • Ensure HR compliance and documentation.
  • Manage FMLA and leave programs in accordance with company policy and law.
  • Oversee payroll accuracy, including timecards and wage garnishments.
  • Calculate and process per diem and travel pay, including overtime.
  • Collaborate with accounting on payroll-related issues.
  • Supervise payroll administration activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Develop and manage benefit programs to ensure cost-effectiveness and competitiveness (optional, based on benefit offerings).

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Experience in performance management systems and practices.
  • Proven skills in recruitment, communication, and collaboration.
