Amalgamated Bank seeks a highly motivated PMO Business Analyst. Under the direction of the Director of Project Management, the Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements to support stakeholder goals and objectives. This role involves evaluating, documenting, presenting, and aligning initiatives with team, departmental and enterprise-level strategic priorities while adhering to the Project Management Office standards, best practices, and processes. The Business Analyst will work and communicate closely with business process owners, implementation partners, and vendors to develop and enhance operational workflow and reporting capabilities.

Essential Job Functions:
- Gather and synthesize information through internal and external research, interviews, document reviews, use cases, workflows, business process descriptions, and task analysis.
- Lead requirements elicitation through interviews, workshops, and group discussions to ensure business needs and desired outcomes are clearly defined and documented.
- Document functional and non-functional requirements using Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTMs), current /to-be workflows, and user stories.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Business Leads to support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring requirements are met.
- Lead training sessions on new processes or technologies by partnering with cross-functional teams to support successful project execution and delivery.
- Maintain consistent and open communication with stakeholders on status, risks, timelines, and deliverables.
- Support project planning, risk management, and scope definition.
- Maintain and improve Business Analyst standards, tools, templates, and processes in alignment with Amalgamated Bank Enterprise PMO guidelines.
- Identify efficiency opportunities to streamline processes and align with IT and enterprise strategies.
- Proactively recommend improvements and support Amalgamated Bank Enterprise PMO leadership in the implementation and governance of continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Apply the appropriate methodology (Agile, SDLC, etc.) and follow Amalgamated Bank Enterprise PMO standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Enterprise PMO leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of business analysis experience on cross-functional projects.
- Exposure to operations, finance, and technology desired.
- Preferred: IIBA CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar certification.
- Proficient in Waterfall, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Skilled in UAT execution and business requirements documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
- Effective communicator with all stakeholder levels.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio); Salesforce, Workiva experiences a plus.
- Familiarity with SmartSheet project management tool and banking solutions is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex business challenges.
- Skilled in identifying desired outcomes and translating findings into clear, concise business requirements using documentation, diagrams, and process flows.
- Proven ability to facilitate problem resolution and negotiate solutions with multiple stakeholders.
- Effective communicator across various formats (in-person, virtual) and with diverse audiences (technical and non-technical stakeholders, developers, executives).
- Detail-oriented, flexible, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across multiple teams.
The starting base salary for this role is between $100,000.00 – $110,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
