The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing 21 varsity teams, a physical education program, and a range of wellness, competitive, and recreational club sports. This role demands a leader who can inspire athletic and competitive excellence within the context of a Division III intercollegiate athletics program, while also fostering a culture of inclusion and engagement with diverse identities and perspectives. The Chair/Director will be tasked with administrative duties, including budget management, fundraising, and ensuring compliance with NCAA and Title IX regulations. They will also be expected to promote the academic and athletic success of scholar-athletes and to work closely with various stakeholders to align the athletics program with the institution's priorities.
Candidates for this position at the company should have an advanced degree and a strong background in intercollegiate athletics administration, scholar-athlete development, and NCAA compliance. Experience in a liberal arts institution, collegiate-level coaching, and capital planning and fundraising is preferred.
