The community you'll be caring for:
At AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, formerly Shawnee Mission Medical Center, you're more than just a number on a chart. The role you'll contribute:
Cleans the cooking areas, utensils, and equipment in the kitchen, as necessary.
The value you'll bring to the team:
Washes and sorts flatware, serving dishes, China, and glasses.
Operates dishwashing machine.
Cleans and sanitizes all food preparation surfaces, counters and shelves in the kitchen following each meal.
Sweeps and mops floor in kitchen after each meal. Sweeps, mops, removes trash as assigned. Operates and cleans dish machine and assigned equipment per department procedures, including routine sanitizer solution and temperatures checks.
Identifies and utilizes cleaning chemicals following directions recommended by manufacturers and per SDS sheets.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications
:
Must have proficient customer service skills.
Good listening skills and communication skills.
Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English and understand food service terms.
Ability to communicate with others in an effective manner that facilitates problem solving, interacts in a courteous, respectful, and helpful manner.
Knowledge about working in the food industry.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
Preferred qualifications:
High School Education or equivalent
One year of technical experience
