About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide visionary and strategic leadership, drive mission fulfillment, and ensure the organization's long-term sustainability. The CEO will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of strategic plans, managing the growth and development of the organization, and fostering a culture of integrity, inclusion, and excellence. Key responsibilities also include program oversight, fundraising, and external relations, as well as financial and organizational management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit or humanitarian leadership, with a proven track record in fundraising, and a deep understanding of the humanitarian, international development, and crisis response sectors.

Candidates for the CEO position at the company should have at least 8 years' of senior leadership experience in a relevant field, with a focus on managing teams and programs across diverse geographies and cultures. A minimum of 2 years' of experience in field-level humanitarian emergencies is required, along with a demonstrated ability to engage with donors and build strategic partnerships. The role demands excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as the willingness and ability to travel internationally, including on rapid responses. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with the humanitarian context in Ukraine or Eastern Europe and experience in leading an organization through growth or scaling phases. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors, ensuring transparent reporting, and supporting the Board in its development and recruitment efforts.
