About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Live Entertainment to be a key player in the development of the next generation of live programming. This role is pivotal in creating and scaling dynamic live event franchises across the company's portfolio. The successful candidate will be a driving force in shaping the future of live content, championing innovation, and pushing the evolution of live programming. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Senior Vice President in the development and production of live entertainment, taking new project pitches, and redefining existing properties. The role also involves building strong relationships within the entertainment community, including with producers, showrunners, and talent, and working with social platforms to develop unique live event content.
Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in unscripted television series development or as a producer in the entertainment/live events space, with a proven track record of successful creative projects. A deep understanding of live audiences, social video, and platforms, as well as AVOD and SVOD streaming, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong creative vision, be in tune with competitive trends, and have a passion for live programming. Desired characteristics include experience with "shiny floor" event shows, the ability to engage with audiences across multiple platforms, and a strong network of relationships with producers, talent, agents, and managers. A Bachelor's degree is required, and the role demands a highly collaborative, proactive, and motivated individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
