The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in the organization's growth, accountability, and re-accreditation. The CFO will be a mission-aligned, dynamic, and hands-on leader, responsible for building and leading a high-performing finance team and overseeing all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reporting, audits, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission, with a background in nonprofit financial leadership and a proven track record of supporting mission-driven organizations through significant change. They should be a culture carrier, grounded in financial reality, and advocate for sustainable growth, transparency, and accountability.
Technical finance and compliance acumen are essential, with a focus on fund accounting, budgeting, audit readiness, financial modeling, and compliance. The CFO should be a builder and systems thinker, capable of creating order out of ambiguity, establishing policies, and leading through change. Executive gravitas and advisory skills are also required, as the role involves being a strategic counselor and fostering trust, transparency, and organizational foresight. The successful candidate will be a clear communicator, a values-driven thought partner, and will model mutual respect, clear communication, and shared accountability.
