About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its national network in a transformative role. The successful candidate will be responsible for articulating and executing a bold vision grounded in racial and economic justice, leading the development of a network-wide strategic plan, and building and sustaining relationships with funders and philanthropic partners. This role requires a proven organizer with a strong background in leadership development, a history of grassroots organizing, and a deep understanding of power-building. The Executive Director will also be a national spokesperson, a strategic thinker, and a bold visionary, capable of turning ideas into actionable plans and ensuring that the organization's mission and values are effectively communicated.

Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include strengthening the organization's role in national and state political landscapes, advancing issue campaigns, and fostering a culture of training and base-building across the network. The ideal candidate will be a strategic communicator, with exceptional interpersonal skills, and will have a demonstrated commitment to racial equity and justice. Experience in fundraising, management, and a proven ability to lead with a racial equity lens are essential. The role demands a leader who is faith-literate and multifaith fluent, with the ability to navigate diverse ideological spaces and work effectively within religious institutions. A strong commitment to confronting systemic racism and oppression, as well as an understanding of Black communities, is also required.
