About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of providing a safety net for lost and homeless pets. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic leadership, vision, and operational management, with a focus on advancing the organization's mission of animal welfare. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the organization, including administration, program development, financial management, fundraising, and community engagement. The Executive Director will also be at the forefront of specific animal welfare responsibilities, such as ensuring the highest standards of animal care, leading adoption programs, and engaging in community outreach to promote the values and mission of the organization.
The ideal Executive Director for the company will be a dynamic, visionary, and data-driven leader with a deep passion for the ethical and humane treatment of animals. They should be a skilled fundraiser, a strong communicator, and a compassionate, confident, and approachable servant leader. Key leadership qualities include the ability to foster a positive, team-oriented culture, being future-oriented, and having a strong commitment to organizational growth. The role requires a candidate with an undergraduate degree, leadership experience in a nonprofit organization, and a proven track record of transparent and forward-thinking leadership. Experience in running an animal hospital and a CAWA credential are also desirable. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure sound governance, assist in board recruitment and diversification, and partner in fundraising efforts.
