About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Credit Officer (CCO) to lead its credit function and risk management, with a focus on supporting a real estate-based community development lending program. The CCO will be responsible for the quality and performance of the lending portfolio, requiring deep credit experience, the ability to identify and manage risk, and a commitment to the mission of the organization. The CCO will also be involved in portfolio risk management, team leadership, and stakeholder collaboration.
Candidates for the CCO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field, with a relevant advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in credit risk management, with at least 3 years in a community development financial institution or similar organization, is required. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of real estate investment and development, particularly in the sectors of affordable housing, community facilities, and economic development. Essential skills include the ability to develop and implement credit policies, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to the company's mission and values.
