The Company is seeking a Board Member to join its mission of assisting individuals in career transition. The successful candidate will provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance, supporting the organization's work in a partnership role. This involves a commitment to the organization's values and a proactive approach to engaging with participants. Board Members are expected to meet with assigned participants regularly, encourage their participation in workshops, and attend the workshops themselves. Additionally, the role includes facilitating discussions between participants, Board Members, and mentors to foster a supportive and effective career search environment.
Applicants for the Board Member position should be dedicated to the mission of helping others pursue employment and be willing to invest time and effort in the organization's activities. While the day-to-day operations are led by the Executive Officers, the Board plays a critical role in the organization's success. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of community, be a good communicator, and be able to work collaboratively with others. Experience in career development, mentoring, or related fields is a plus, but not a requirement. The position is open to individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those in career transition.
