Summary
The Custodian supervises a small team of forklift drivers to maintain the grounds of a vegetable processing facility.
The Janitor(s) will be responsible for providing janitorial services campus wide.
Key Responsibilities
Supervises a team of seasonal Grounds Utility Forklift Drivers
Retrieves pallets and other supplies that are needed for plant processes
Maintains the appearance of the outside grounds
Receives supply shipments from vendors
Manages on-site pallet yard inventory
Performs other duties as assigned
Typical Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Other Information
Preferred previous supervisory experience
Ability to operate a forklift
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to balance multiple tasks, be flexible and work well under pressure
Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment; ability to lead a group of employees
Ability to work weekends, shift work and overtime
