Electrical System Integration Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking an
Electrical System Integration Engineer
to join a dynamic team focused on the integration of electrical systems in large wheel loaders, Off-Highway Trucks (OHT), and scrapers. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in wire harness routing using Creo, as well as strong capabilities in interpreting electrical schematics and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities: Design and integrate electrical systems and wire harnesses into large off-road machinery including wheel loaders, OHTs, and scrapers. Use
Creo
to model and route wire harnesses, ensuring optimal fit within mechanical constraints. Manage space claims and packaging of electrical components within complex machinery assemblies. Interpret electrical schematics and drawings to guide integration and design decisions. Create, detail, and check engineering prints to ensure technical accuracy and compliance. Collaborate closely with suppliers, product groups, and internal engineering teams on requirements and implementation. Support engineering activities such as cost roll-ups, design feasibility assessments, and FMEAs. Lead or contribute to design reviews by preparing and presenting PowerPoint materials. Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering . Proficiency with
Creo , specifically in
3D modeling and wire harness routing . Strong ability to read and interpret
electrical schematics and technical drawings . Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration. Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience at Caterpillar
or familiarity with
Teamcenter . Practical knowledge of
electrical systems and cable line integration
in off-road or heavy equipment. Experience performing
FMEAs
and supporting design feasibility reviews. Industry experience with companies like
Deere
or similar heavy equipment manufacturers. Ability to support
cost analysis, documentation, and technical presentations .
